No. MedAPI.ai is a technical aid for coding support — not a medical device, not a diagnosis, and not a substitute for professional coding or treatment decisions. All suggestions must be reviewed independently.

How accurate are coding suggestions?

MedAPI.ai returns up to three grounded candidates per extracted diagnosis, with confidence scores. A longer note can yield several diagnoses. Quality depends on wording, ambiguity, and classification. Confidence is a model heuristic, not a measure of medical certainty.

Can I use MedAPI.ai without the web UI?

Yes. After sign-in, create API keys in your account and call POST /api/code and GET /api/describe directly — see the API reference for curl examples and request schema.

How does pricing work?

Accepted Answer

Each coding request charges your account balance. Reverse lookup via GET /api/describe is free. New accounts receive signup credit; prices are shown in search after you sign in.
