Microorganism level similarity to reference sample [Score] in Isolate or Specimen by MS.MALDI-TOF

Microorg lvl sim ref smpl Islt/Spm M

Definition

  • The level of similarity score indicates how similar the result from an unknown sample is to a reference sample. A higher score indicates that identification is possible at the species level, versus an intermediate score that allows identification at the genus level. Low scores do not allow identification of the organism from the unknown sample. The specific scores at which genus- and species-level identification is possible vary by microorganism.
