Pain score interpretation PAINAD

Pain score interpre PAINAD

Definition

  • Developers of standardized pain assessment scales often use a total score between zero and ten (0 - 10) to assess pain level. The clinician's interpretation of the score is rarely included in the standardized assessment scale. This reusable pain scale score interpretation can be used in conjunction with the developer's pain assessment scale when the developer (or designated clinical subject matter expert) validates the answer list meaning is an exact match.
