Definition

  • Most commonly this will be used in Smallpox vaccination context but can be used elsewhere. It is the term that reference the individuals response to the vaccination specifically indicating the virus replication has taken place and vaccination was successful. Answer1 Major-indicated the viral replication has occurred and vaccination was successful and considered to be protected with the development of a major reaction Answer2 Equivocal reaction which indicates immune suppression of viral replication, allergic reaction without production of immunity, incorrect vaccination technique or impotent vaccine.
