Head control - anterior neck muscles [TIMP]
Definition
- Position: Infant is held upright in vertical sitting facing the examiner, supported at the shoulders with upper arms held at sides of trunk. Legs rest on the support surface. Procedure: Allow infant's head to fall gently backward. Do not pursue for longer than 15 seconds if no response is observed. If the infant resists having the head placed backward, give at least a score of 3 and up to 4 based on the time head is held upright.
