Definition

  • Position: Infant supine; head in midline Procedure: Grasp infant just above wrists, forearms in neutral rotation. Pull infant to sitting with arms at 45 degree angle to shoulder. Caution: If infant becomes extremely irritable or no response is observed in the arm or neck muscles, discontinue.
