Cryptococcus sp rRNA gene [Identifier] in Specimen by Sequencing
Crypt sp rRNA gene Spec Seq
Definition
- PCR alone is not sufficient to identify Cryptococcus species. Most most labs would use a generic fungal primer and then sequence to get the actual species. C. neoformans, C. gattii, and C. grubii can be distinguished by sequencing.
