Definition

  • This term refers to point of care (often CLIA waived) testing in a clinical or lab setting for the quantitative measurement of C reactive protein (CRP) in whole blood. This term was created for, but not limited to, Mitsubishi Chemical Medience's PATHFAST® hsCRP test kit. For high sensitivity CRP (hsCRP) testing on serum or plasma specimens, see LOINC 30522-7.
