Definition

  • Of more than 100 types of human papilloma virus, 14 that are considered high-risk for causing cervical cancer are 16,18, 31, 33, 35, 39, 45, 51, 52, 56, 58, 59, 66 and 68. HPV 16 and 18 are often reported distinctly, while this test reports the presence of the remaining 12 as a single ordinal.
