Definition
- Test is to detect resistance of Mycobacterium tuberculosis strains to fluoroquinolones (FLQs) due to mutations present in the gyrA gene (coding for DNA gyrase). The types of mutations present or absent indicate if the isolate is susceptible or resistant to fluoroquinolones. This code is based on, but not limited in use to, the submitter's test kit: HAIN Lifescience's GenoType MTBDRsl.
