Definition
- Nail shape is normal slightly angled with a 160 degree angle between the nail base and the skin. Concave (spooning) nails may be present in iron deficiency anemias. Clubbing nails (nail angle >180 degrees) can occur from hypoxia (deprivation of oxygen).
