Definition

  • Adenosine diphosphate (ADP) and adenosine triphosphate (ATP) is extracted from platelets. The submitter's lab performs a 2 step reaction to measure ATP and ADP (after conversion to ATP). The ADP/ATP ratio is then determined. ADP: 1.7 - 3.8 umol / 10^11 platelets ATP: 3.1 - 7.0 umol / 10^11 platelets ratio ATP/ADP <2.0 (dimensionless)
