Definition
- Neonate activity is described as either completely bed-bound (=4), Limited bed-bound (=3), slightly limited (=2) or unlimited (=1) in the Neonatal Skin Risk Assessment Scale (NSRAS). Completely bed-bound means the infant is in a radiant warmer with a clear plastic "saran" tent. Limited bed-bound means the infant is in a radiant warmer without a clear plastic "saran" tent. Slightly limited activity is when the infant is in a double wall isolette. Unlimited activity is when the infant is in an open crib. Only one numeric value (1, 2, 3 or 4) is selected.
