Definition

  • Infant's heart rate as measured by the pulse oximeter during postductal oxygen saturation measurement. Postductal measurement indicates that the measurements are taken using a pulse oximetry device placed in an anatomical location whose blood supply originates from the aorta after the junction of the aorta with the ductus arteriosus (usually either the right or left foot).
