Definition

  • The signal quality indicates the strength or reliability of the measurement at a point in time. Preductal signal quality indicates that the pulse oximetry device is placed in an anatomical location whose blood supply originates from the aorta before the junction of the aorta with the ductus arteriosus (usually the right hand).
