Definition
- Infant's heart rate as measured by the pulse oximeter during preductal oxygen saturation measurement. Preductal measurement indicates that the measurements are taken using a pulse oximetry device placed in an anatomical location whose blood supply originates from the aorta before the junction of the aorta with the ductus arteriosus (usually the right hand).
