Definition

  • Analysis of tungsten levels in 24-hour urine collections is performed to determine exposure and accumulation of the toxic metal due to environmental or occupational (e.g. military) exposure or hazards. Toxic metals are reported as units per creatinine (e.g. ug/g{creat}) to account for urine dilution variations.
