Definition

  • Virtual Medical Record (VMR), Release 1 (May 2013) is a standardize format for transmitting patient data in HL7v2 messages for use in a clinical decision support (CDS) system. Clinical areas specified in the VMR implementation guide include, but are not limited to, encounters, immunizations, presenting complaints, pregnancy history, alerts, history of past illnesses, procedures, family history, substance use, and exercise history.
