Occupational summary note

Definition

  • Collection of current, usual, and historical information about an individual's employment or the employment of a person related to the individual, so that it can be associated to health data for the individual. In the healthcare setting, employment information is important because it prompts the health care provider to explore occupational exposures which may impact the patient's health status.
