Definition
- Test for the presence of Rubella virus IgG antibodies in body fluid (e.g. mother's milk, lachrymal liquid, aqueous humor, etc.). This term is based on, but not limited in use to, the LIAISON® Rubella IgM assay, which uses chemiluminescence immunoassay (CLIA) technology for the qualitative determination of specific IgG antibodies to rubella virus.
