Definition

  • Measurement of sucrose per creatinine levels in urine collected for 5 hours after oral ingestion of a sugar solution (e.g. mannitol and lactulose). This test is used as a diagnostic aid for a variety of gastrointestinal diseases and evaluation of therapeutic interventions in both children and adults. [PMID: 7714684]
