This is a quantitative reverse transcriptase real-time PCR for the Porcine Epidemic Diarrhea Viurs (PEDv) RNA. This code is intended to represent the most conserved available target specific to PEDv. If more strain-specific or gene-specific tests are developed, they would specify the gene or strain. The same test is used on feces, various tissue swabs, feed samples, and environmental samples.
