Definition

  • Red blood cell antigen typing is used to identify specific antigens on the red cell. Red cell antigen typing uses patient cells and reagent antiserum with a known antibody. The antiglobulin technique is used for antigens such as Kell (K), Duffy (Fya, FYb) and others.
