  • Red blood cell antigen typing is used to identify specific antigens on the red cell. Some antigens that might be seen in the immediate spin are: Rh (C, D, E, c, e). This typing may be performed for prenatal patients where hemolytic disease of the newborn (HDN) is suspected.
