  • The human soluble transferrin receptor (sTfR)/log ferritin index is intended as an aid in the diagnosis of iron deficiency anemia (IDA), and for the differential diagnosis of IDA and anemia of chronic disease (ACD). This term was created for but not limited in use to, the Coulter Soluble Transferrin Receptor sTfR /log Ferritin Index via automated chemiluminescent immunoassay.
