Encounter identifier

Definition

  • An arbitrary identifier (ID) assigned to a patient encounter. The Encounter ID is used by the PCORnet Common Data Model (CDM) Specification (v1.0) to link patient data for each encounter across tables, including the ENCOUNTER, DIAGNOSIS, and PROCEDURE tables.
