Definition

  • Heater power of transcutaneous monitors, including oxygen (O2) and carbon dioxide (CO2) monitors. The heating elements on these monitors heat the skin at the probe site, which causes the blood vessels to dilate and allows for more accurate measurement of O2 and CO2.
