Definition

  • Ear temperature can be used for continuous monitoring during anesthesia, and some ear temperature probes include heaters to prevent convective air currents that distort the temperature measurement. Ear temperature is a general term that includes tympanic membrane temperature as one type of ear temperature measurement.
