Definition

  • Level of suspicion for the presence of pulmonary embolism in emergency room patients, as determined either by objective criteria (such as a Wells score or Geneva score) or clinical assessment, prior to imaging. This term was created for, but not limited in use to, electronic clinical quality measure (eCQM) related to emergency room CT pulmonary angiogram utilization.
