Definition

  • The total distance in meters (e.g. 3600 m) associated with gathering essential resources for a patient/client for all encounters in a reporting period. Encounters are interactions between providers and a patients for the direct provision of health care service(s). Essential resources are information, supplies, equipment and personnel needed for the patient encounter.
