Definition

  • Computation of total weekly physical activity as a continuous variable for the short form requires summation of the duration (in minutes) and frequency (days) of walking, moderate-intensity and vigorous-intensity activities. Domain specific estimates cannot be estimated. The activity level is reported in MET-minutes/week or MET-minutes/day, although the former is more frequently used and is thus suggested. This quantitative total weekly physical activity result can be transformed into a categorical result using [LOINC: 77595-7].
