Interval note
Definition
- The Interval document is generated by a provider at the end of a fixed period of time (shift, day, etc) within the context of a larger encounter (e.g. Hospitalization) with a patient. It is intended to capture the activity for the period covered. This term was created for, but not limited in use to, the Interval Document level template included in the HL7 Implementation Guide for CDA® Release 2: Additional CDA R2 Templates - Clinical Documents for Payers - Set 1 (CPD1), Release 1.
