Definition

  • Timed gastrin levels are measured in both secretin and calcium challenge tests to diagnose Zollinger-Ellison syndrome. Both stimuli produce markedly increased gastrin levels for patients with Zollinger-Ellison syndrome. [PMID: 627316]
