Left ventricular Ejection fraction by US.2D+Calculated by cube method
LV EF US.2D+cube
Definition
- This term represents the left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF) based on left ventricular (LV) end-diastolic and end-systolic volumes as calculated by the Cubed method from measurements taken during 2D cardiac echo. The Cubed method formula for LV end-diastolic volume = (LVIDd)^3, where LVIDd = left ventricular internal dimension at end-diastole, and the formula for LV end-systolic volume = (LVIDs)^3, where LVIDs = left ventricular internal dimension at end-systole.
