Definition

  • This term was created for, but not limited in use to, the Ameritox Medication Monitoring system, which assesses a patient's medication compliance by comparing the patient's normalized result to a reference database of normalized results from chronic pain patients who were known to be adherent to their medication regimen. Each lab result is adjusted using a proprietary algorithm based on urine creatinine, sex and body mass, and the adjusted results are converted to a standard score for the purpose of comparing to the reference database.
