Definition
- A semi-quantitative measurement of IgG RNA polymerase III antibodies in serum by immunoassay methods. In conjunction with other laboratory and clinical findings, the test aids in the diagnosis of systemic sclerosis (SSc, scleroderma) with an increased incidence of skin involvement and renal crisis. This term was created for, but not limited in use to, the QUANTA Lite(R) RNA Pol III ELISA.
