Definition

  • The estimated amount of fruit-based foods consumed in a day, where a serving is the amount of that food customarily considered a serving. The estimated fruit-based foods servings are reported retrospectively by the patient or by the dietitian upon inspection of the patient's intake. This term was created for, but not limited in use to, the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics' Nutrition Assessment Language.
