Definition

  • The estimated amount of dairy-based foods consumed per day, where a serving is the amount of that food customarily considered a serving. The estimated dairy-based food servings are reported retrospectively by the patient or by the dietitian upon inspection of the patient's intake. This term was created for, but not limited in use to, the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics' Nutrition Assessment Language.
