Definition

  • Detection of targeted nucleic acid sequences in the Influenza virus A H1 hemagglutinin (HA) gene by PCR-based methods. This term was created for, but not limited in use to, the Verigene® Respiratory Pathogens Flex Nucleic Acid Test (RP Flex), a multiplexed, qualitative test for the detection and identification of multiple viral and bacterial genetic virulence markers from nasopharyngeal swab specimens.
