Definition
- This assay is used for screening suspected cases of strongyloidosis, for the detection of asymptomatic chronic or latent infections in endemic areas and in immuno-compromised patients (leukemia, lymphoma, myeloma) or before initiating steroid therapy, and as a test of cure. This term was created for, but not limited in use to, the submitter's Bordier Strongyloides Ratti test kit.
