International Prostate Symptom Score [IPSS]

Definition

  • The International Prostate Symptom Score (IPSS) consists of the 7 questions from the AUA-SI plus one quality of life question. The World Health Organization International Consultation on Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia (BPH) has adopted the IPSS for evaluation of the severity of symptoms associated with prostatism and its effect on the patient's quality of life.
