Campylobacter coli+jejuni tuf gene [Presence] in Stool by NAA with probe detection
C coli+jejuni tuf Stl Ql NAA+probe
Definition
- This test targets the tuf gene that is common to two species in the Campylobacter group, coli and jejuni, and does not distinguish between them. The tuf gene encodes elongation factor Tu. This term was created for, but is not limited in use to, the submitter's BD MAX Enteric Bacterial test kit, which is a diagnostic test for the direct qualitative detection of enteric bacterial pathogens.
