Hip dysfunction and osteoarthritis outcome score for joint replacement [HOOSJR]
Definition
- The Hip Dysfunction and Osteoarthritis Outcome Score for Joint Replacement (HOOS, JR) survey was developed from the original long version of the Hip Dysfunction and Osteoarthritis Outcome Score (HOOS) survey using Rasch analysis. It contains 6 questions from the original HOOS survey. Each question is coded from 0 to 4 where 0 equals no pain and 4 equals extreme pain. The survey is scored by summing the raw scores and then converting the total raw score to an interval score, which ranges from 0 to 100 where 0 represents total hip disability and 100 represents perfect hip health.[PMID: 26926772]
