Spatial clot growth analysis panel - Platelet poor plasma
Spatial clot growth Pnl PPP
Definition
- The spatial clot growth analysis panel is used to report the results of clot formation and growth over time. Such results include the time to clot formation, density, velocity of clot formation, and time to spontaneous clot formation. This panel was created for, but is not limited in use to, the Submitter's Hemacore Thrombodynamics analyser, which uses time-lapse microscopy to take images of clot formation after plasma is placed in contact with immobilized tissue factor (TF). Parameters include those regarding clot formation at the point of contact between the plasma sample and the TF as well as spontaneous clot formation in the portion of the plasma sample that has not been in direct contact with TF. The recommended specimen for the Hemacore Thrombodynamics analyser is platelet free plasma, defined as <1000 platelets/uL.
