Definition

  • Used to report the result of control tissue nucleoprotein staining that is done at the same time as nucleoprotein staining of the patient's cancer tissue. This term can be used for control tissue staining results for a variety of nucleoproteins, while specific codes are used to report staining results of the patient's cancer tissue specimen for individual markers, such as [LOINC: 81691-8] for Mlh1 and [LOINC: 81692-6] for Msh2.
