Definition
- The detection of Chikungunya virus-specific IgG antibodies can be performed from the 8th to the 10th day of infection. Suspected cases of Chikungunya infection are confirmed by a four-fold increase of specific IgG in acute and convalescent samples drawn at least two weeks apart. This term was created for, but is not limited in use to, the submitter's EUROMANN Anti-Chikungunya Virus ELISA (IgG) test kit.
