Definition

  • For rectal tumors, the relationship of the tumor in relation to the anterior peritoneal reflection may be classified as entirely above, astride (at), or entirely below the level of the anterior peritoneal reflection. This term was created for, but not limited in use to, the Colorectal Cancer Structured Reporting Protocol (2nd Edition, 2012) developed by the Royal College of Pathologists of Australasia (RCPA).
