Definition

  • Similar to most EIA tests, results are reported as a ratio of optical densities. Although it targets an avian-origin NP protein, the protein has been found useful as a screening test for detection of other type A influenza viruses such as swine influenza virus (SIV), and influenza A viruses in other species such as equine, canine, and feline.
