Zika virus RNA [Presence] in Plasma from Donor by NAA with probe detection
ZIKV RNA Plas Donr Ql NAA+probe
Definition
- This term is used to report the presence or absence of Zika virus RNA in donor plasma. Donor blood product screening is important because most individuals infected with Zika virus are asymptomatic, making screening based on clinical symptoms unreliable. [PMID: 27902502] This term was created for, but is not limited in use to, the Roche Diagnostic's Cobas Zika test.
