Leukocytes [Presence] in Ear by Light microscopy
WBC Ear Ql Micro
Definition
- The amount of leukocytes (inflammatory cells) present in an ear swab sample from the left external canal. In veterinary medicine, this test is useful for the initial diagnosis of an external ear infection, guides the treatment based on if and how many inflammatory cells are seen, and allows for the tracking of response to treatment. The clinical course and response to treatment for each ear may be tracked separately.
